Core Content
Key Inspection Points
1. Develop a prototyping plan
Based on design drawings or reference samples, determine the process path, mold requirements, and material list.
Feasibility assessment of the plan.
2. Plastic parts injection molded to custom colors
Injection molding is performed using your specified Pantone colors to produce components, including casings and handles.
Color swatch comparison and color difference inspection (Color NG/OK)
3. Inspect Plastic Parts
Conduct a full inspection of dimensions, appearance, and color difference, and perform assembly testing.
Check dimensional accuracy and assembly fit.
4. Needle Sample Making
Made the brush head needle cloth according to the needle specifications (material/hardness/length/arrangement)
Needle pull-out force, arrangement density
5. Screen Printing Stencil & Proofing
Create a logo stencil, print it on the component, and check the position, size, color, and clarity.
Adhesion: Perform adhesion testing (100-cross test) and check for color difference.
6. Sample Assembly and Testing
Assemble all components into a complete sample and conduct functional tests (tensile strength, lifespan, etc.).
Assembly integrity and functional compliance are required.
7. Customer Feedback & Sample Delivery
Send samples to the customer and collect feedback; if modifications are needed, proceed to the next stage.
Customer confirmation (OK/NG), sample retained for handover.
From your initial sketch to a finished sample in your hand, every step is meticulously planned and inspected. Here’s how we bring your custom pet product to life.
Expedited sampling (5 days), multi-color overprinting, special materials, functional test reports, etc., require separate negotiation.
FAQs
What is the typical sampling process at KUDI PET?
A: We follow a 7‑step process: sampling plan, color molding, plastic parts inspection, needle skin sampling, silk screen tooling, assembly & testing, and customer review. Total time: 7‑10 working days.
How long does it take to receive a custom sample?
A: Standard lead time is 7‑10 working days after plan confirmation. Complex products may take 15‑20 days. Expedited (5‑7 days) is available for an extra fee.
How many sample pieces do I receive?
A: 3 pieces per design – enough for testing, evaluation, and a reference sample. Additional pieces available for a small extra cost.
What if I need samples for multiple designs or colours?
A: Each design has its own $100 fee. For multiple colors of the same design, we can produce one color first; additional colors cost less. Please feel free to contact us for a custom quote.
What if the sample does not meet my expectations?
A: If it's our error, we resample at no cost within 5‑7 days. If the issue is due to unclear specs, we clarify and provide a revised sample for a nominal fee.
Do you offer sample packaging?
A: Packaging for mass production requires relatively high machine setup fees. Therefore, we generally provide digital proofs and packaging materials identical to those used in bulk production for your reference. We also offer free packaging design services.
What information do I need to provide to start sampling?
A: Product type, design files (3D/2D), Pantone colours, logo artwork, target quantity/timeline, and any special requirements. The more detail, the faster and more accurate the sample.
How does sample approval link to mass production?
A: After you sign the sample approval form, all specifications are locked. Mass production follows exactly. Changes after approval require a new sample round and may affect cost/schedule.
Do you offer prototyping for completely new designs (ODM)?
A: Absolutely. We provide concept sketches, 3D modelling, functional mock‑ups, mould design, and trial runs.
